KITUI TEACHERS TECHNICAL COLEGE

The idea of starting Kitui technical College was mooted in 2019 by Kitui County Development committee. This was after the government restructured the Academic programme in basic primary Education. The board of management (B.O.M) of Kitui teachers training college under the guidance of the Chief Principal took up the initiative of start technical college, which could utilize the idle structure.

• Kitui had a high population, and many schools that offer technical courses are private
• The entire county had only three established public Technical school
• The idle structure can be utilized the students as they wait for admission of new batch under new reformed basic education programme.

The college was registered by TVET under the ministry of Education state Department of Vocational and Technical Training.

It is located 2 kilometers from Kitui town along Mbusyani road few meters from Kitui School. Kitui teachers training College host it.

The core function of Kitui Teachers Technical College  is provide training in TVET programme and promote research, innovation and technology.

Kitui teachers technical college  admitted its first batch in of 28 students, 10 male and 18  female in January 2019 ,The corona pandemic set in leading to closure of the college  till 2020 after which the college  was re-opened .Through the management of kitui teachers college, Kitui Teachers Technical College   has shown a gradual increase in number of students.
